Dr. OYABAMBI, Adewumi Oluwafemi (B.Sc., MB; BS, MPH. M.Sc., Ph.D.), is a Medical doctor and Associate Professor of Physiology in the Department of Physiology, Faculty of Basic Medical Sciences, University of Ilorin, Nigeria. A Recipient of’ Keystone Symposia Global Health Travel Award by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation (2020); Co-Investigator in the 2017-2018 (MERGED) Tetfund/IBRF Research Grant (2019); University of Ilorin prize for publication in Q1 Journal, (2023).
An astute researcher and teacher in the field of cardiovascular Physiology. A Level adviser and has supervised over 50 undergraduate students’ projects and postgraduate students. He is currently the Departmental Research Ethical Committee, (2018- to date); Business Manager, Savannah Journal of Medical Research and Practice (2018-date). He was Chairman, Animal House Committee, Faculty of Basic Medical Sciences (2020-2022). LHe belongs to many associations including the International Society of Hypertension (ISH), Nigerian Medical Association (NMA), Association of Specialist Medical Doctors in Academics (ASMEDA), Physiological Society of Nigeria (PSN), and many more. He is interested in investigations into the emerging therapy and pathophysiology of cardio-metabolism and renal disorders
He has to his credit over 35 publications and 80 citations in reputable journals, edited conference proceedings and chapters in books.
