Biography

Hidaayah Oluwamayowa JIMOH-ABDULGHAFFAAR is a lecturer at the Department of Physiology, Faculty of Basic Medical Sciences, College of Health Sciences, University of Ilorin, Ilorin, Nigeria. She has been involved in teaching, research, and administrative activities for over eight years.

Her area of research interest is Neuroscience with specific interest in Neuropsychiatry, Neuroepigenetics, Neuroimaging, Omics, and Bioinformatics. Her current research is translational research which aims at improving the field of precision medicine by repurposing a known polyphenol as an epigenetic-targeted pharmacotherapy for the management of depression. She has several publications in reputable national and international journals. She has won many travel grants to attend various trainings, workshops, and conferences from which she has received a number of awards for her presentations. Dr. Jimoh-Abdulghaffaar is a member of the World Women in Neuroscience (WWN), Society of Neuroscientists of Africa (SONA), Neuroscience Society of Nigeria (NSN), Nigerian Medical Association (NMA), among others.
